It seems like love nowadays is either percieved as a “cliche” topic to write about or a very secondary subject to dedicate a whole post/article for.
However, it’s always good to know that some people still consider “Love” as a drive in life. It’s good to know that this concept is still percieved as the source of positive energy in the lives of some.
I think, from this introduction, you could tell that I am one of those people. And so, I want to dedicate this post to everyone out there: Those who question the positivity of this concept, those who believe in it, and those who are simply neutral…when it comes to love….
1- "Il n’y a qu’un bonheur dans la vie, c’est d’aimer et d’être aimé." (George Sand)
There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.
2- "L’amour est la poésie des sens." (Balzac)
Love is the poetry of the senses
3- "L’amour fait les plus grandes douceurs et les plus sensibles infortunes de la vie." (Madeleine de Scudery)
Love makes the greatest pleasures and most sensitive misfortunes of life
4- "Vivre sans aimer n’est pas proprement vivre." (Molière)
To live without loving is to not really live.
5- "Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile." (Franklin P. Jones)
6- "Love is the voice under all silences, the hope which has no opposite in fear; the strength so strong mere force is feebleness: the truth more first than sun, more last than star." (e.e. cummings)
7- "Love is but the discovery of ourselves in others, and the delight in the recognition." (Alexander Smith)
8- "Love is the answer to everything. It's the only reason to do anything. If you don't write stories you love, you'll never make it. If you don't write stories that other people love, you'll never make it." (Ray Bradbury)
9- "Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart, and the senses." (Lao Tzu)
10- "A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge." (Thomas Carlyle)
11- "Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." (Henry Van Dyke)
And so, if these people could see the positivity in love, why can’t you?
